Our school is nestled at the foothills of Diamond Head where we serve grades PK to 5. I support our English Language Learners and co-teach with the 4th-grade team. I hope to share my enthusiasm and academic language strategies with our EL friends.

I'm impressed with their ability to adapt and grow even when faced with setbacks. Covid-19 tossed our plans, but not our commitment to each other!

My Project
These culturally responsive books will offer a wide range of choices as we practice our Daily 5 reading rotations. This book bundle reflects the diversity of our classroom and will appeal to a variety of readers at various levels. Cooperation and caring skills grow when we take the time to recognize all voices/backgrounds.
Providing books with a sense of identity and belonging brings comfort and joy, especially in a time of such uncertainty.
These high-interest books will boost reading stamina and offer social-emotional awareness. Additionally, the math book bundle will create excitement about the math topics we will explore this semester.
