I teach at a Title I school. More than half of the students are living in a low-income family household. Despite this, these students love to learn.
"I can't do this, yet, but I am going to keep on trying.” This is a quote from one of my students this year.
They love to try new things and not give up.
My students entered my class at various levels in reading and math. They love to work together and help each other at any time during the day. They need hands-on activities to keep them focused. They are very hard workers, and I can't wait to see them grow this year!
My Project
I teach at a title 1 school so most of my students do not come to school with a snack. This affects their learning daily. I will have students asking me all morning when lunch is. The best part about giving my students a snack time, is I know they are leaving school with food in their bellies.
Full bellies, keep their brains focused.
I know my students can get so much more learning done when their minds aren't thinking about food and are focused on learning.
These snacks will give my students a variety of options to choose from. They will be so excited to choose what they would like to eat for snack each afternoon.
