My students need a positive, upbeat learning community. As a second year teacher, I will use these professional development books to help me best serve my students and meet their needs.
I teach a phenomenal group of 4th and 5th graders! Being the only combination class in the school, my students embrace the opportunity to meet new students, take risks, and challenge themselves in this unique environment. Together, we have created a fun and accepting classroom community.
My students are passionate learners, and always strive to be leaders within our school.
They enter the room with a positive mindset and an eagerness to learn new things. I am proud to be their teacher!
My Project
This year will be my second year as a teacher. I am lucky enough to teach at the school where I completed my student teaching - and to have some of the same students who were with me as I was learning to be a teacher in my class again! These students make me excited to come to work every day and push me to be the very best teacher I can be. Being a new teacher, I am constantly learning and striving to grow as a teacher. These professional development books will help me be the best teacher I can for my students.

Between decorations, school supplies, building my classroom library, and other materials, I am constantly buying things for my students and classroom.
