Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are typically hard working, eager to learn, and driven students. They tend to come from low-income families with multiple children and are English Language Learners. It is difficult for their parents to buy supplies for their children, so I tend to purchase many of their supplies at the start of each year. Since it is the start of a new school year, I haven't met my students yet, but I'm sure they will be a wild bunch of readers, mathematicians, and authors.

My Project

This project will help students be responsible for the care of their technology. They will be able to store their iPads and responders inside the pouches to keep them safe and clean. It is important to teach children to care for their belongings and to keep technology safe. We have such small rooms that it is hard to store items. Also, their desks are small, so keeping iPads stored on the desk makes it easier for them to be destroyed. We do not have a water fountain in the classroom so students usually bring water bottles that can spill and end up ruining the students' technology.
