As everyone knows, this current COVID-19 pandemic has caused millions of disruptions across the lives of many Americans and children. The coronavirus pandemic has made a huge impact on my students who have always counted on school to provide them with the necessary resources for their learning. Now that school is closed for the remainder of the year, we still need to continue with incomplete learning from the comforts of our homes.
As their teacher, it is my priority to continue to bring my students the best education through distance learning!
I still have parents who are on the front lines working in the medical field or other essential occupations. Therefore, they cannot provide the help these children need during the day to learn or complete their schoolwork.
My students have been wonderful, yet unsure about learning throughout this entire pandemic situation. Although they have tried to do the best they can, they still need and want to see me teaching them through zooming!
As their teacher, I still want to provide the best education to my students through distance learning!
I have been zooming since the closure of schools at the start of the pandemic. At times, I have been able to reach all students and at times, I have needed to modify and scaffold lessons for my needier students. I am requesting for an iPad pro so that I can show my students the screen they should be seeing and working on the same apps as my students. I would be able to show them how to access and maneuver the educational apps our school district has provided for their distance learning. The stylus pen will allow me to demonstrate and model straight from the screen of the iPad which will be easier for them to follow along in my lessons.
These tools are necessary to continue providing the best education to my students during distance learning!
