Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a wonderful group of students that are eager to learn and grow academically through their love of reading. These students face various disadvantages in and out of the classroom. Many of them come from single parent homes or are being raised by their grandparents. The majority of my students come from low income families where books are not a priority. More that 90% percent of the students I have the pleasure of teaching are English Language Learners.
My kids have a love for reading and they have come a long way academically.
Every child in my class has worked very hard to surpass the goals that they set for themselves at the beginning of the year. They are truly an inspiration!
My Project
"A good system shortens the road to the goal." These materials will allow the students to learn in a clean and organized environment. The bookcase and bins will help organize a vast reading library by genre. The students will be able to locate books with ease and by interest. This will enhance the learning environment!
Organization is a key factor in the learning process.
My students will learn to keep a tidy, organized library while reading their favorite genres. My students will also be able to use organizational skills that will follow them for the rest of their lives! Being organized is being in control.
