My Students

My students are such amazing learners, they are very excited about learning and love to be engaged and interacting in the classroom. They enjoy reading and working with others in small groups, while being able to socialize during working time.

Working with others is a very important skill we work on in second grade, being able to work in pairs and groups is a great way for students to do this.

In my class the students interact with each other throughout the entire day!

My Project

The two different types of seating that I am requesting will help my learners focus in two different learning scenarios. During lessons on the rug the carpet will help my students to stay in their own bubble space and to focus on the lesson instead of those sitting around them, the squares will help them to identify where their seats are when we seat on the carpet.

We also do a lot of center work in our classroom.

The stools will be a great place for the students to sit while they are doing work in small groups, the fact that the stools rock will also help those students that need movement while they are seated.
