I work in a small rural school in NE South Dakota. I work with students in grades 7-12. My students are learning how to write and present a Professional Presentation. I think that this will give my students life long skills to get up and talk in front of people. I want them to learn to make professional posters that will help them compete in our state FCCLA competitions. We also have a student -run screen-printing business in our school and I'd like to be able to personalize the apparel that we make.
I teach a variety of classes and think that a Cricut cutting machine could be used for a variety of student projects.
I think that many students would be able to compete and do well in our state competition and that we could use the Cricut to help our student organization - FCCLA with displays and possibly fundraisers.
My Project
With your donations, my students will be able to make their presentations more creative and professional. We plan to use the Cricuts when the students work on their FCCLA presentations. This will give my students a chance to be more competitive at the Regional and State level.
I think that when their presentations are more professional looking, it will give my students more confidence in their presentation and themselves.
We will use the Cricuts for some of our FCCLA community service projects.
We will also use them in our Entrepreneurship class to personalize the clothing items that we screen-print in our school-based student run business. The students learn about the different areas of running a business and how important it is to put out a good product and to be on time with their orders.
