Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 58 fourth graders who come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. They are faced with many challenges that make them unique.
My students are eager to learn each and every day to gain new knowledge. They want to make a difference one day as they know they are our future.
They know and understand that being in school each and every day is vital. Education is the key to success and I want to make sure that I give them the tools they need to be successful.

My Project
I want to be able to engage all students.
What better way than having them come up with their own play. I will divide the class into two teams. They will have about one to two weeks to develop a play using primarily characters from Lego movie and Avengers series. They will have a rubric to complete.
I want the students to enjoy themselves while learning.
They will first begin by using the ipad to research the movies and characters and record short scenes. They go to the library and check out books about their favorite characters. They will place books in mobile book cart inside book bins. Then they will use the poster paper and markers to draw and create background scenery. Students will perform play when they are ready show the wonderful scripts they developed. They will use backdrop when they are filming play.
Please consider this project. The students deserve to have a little fun while writing and performing.
