Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have an energetic group of students who get to school every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I teach at a Title I school where the majority of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My students are eager to learn and try their best.
I am hoping to provide my students with what they need most! I want to make sure my students have equal access to everything they need to be successful!
My Project
Bookshelves will provide students clear choices of the books available to them in the classroom. By having bookshelves in the classroom, students will be able to more easily choose books to read. Students will be able to take more pride in their library by organizing the books on the shelves. Because of limited space, books often get piled and not put in any order.
By adding this storage space, more books can be added into the classroom which will empower them as students, readers and writers!
The rug will add extra comfort to our new reading area. It will encourage the students to grab a book and immediately begin reading.
