Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My name is Ms. Gogarty, and this year I will be teaching 4th grade math and science in a Baltimore City elementary-middle school. The students at my school are caring and hard-working. Each day, these students stay positive while even when they are overcoming personal or academic challenges!
I am inspired by my students to create a positive learning environment and be the best teacher I can be.
The students at my school come from a tight-knit community in Southwest Baltimore. We are a Title I school where 86.3% of students are living in poverty and about 50% of students come from immigrant families. My students deserve every opportunity to reach their goals and be successful in 4th grade.
My Project
My students will use these materials on a daily basis. Students will use crayons, construction paper, markers, and scissors during independent and group activities and exhibit creativity through projects. Students will also use folders and notebooks to organize and keep track of their work.
By donating to this project you will be helping students have access to basic classroom materials that will be used everyday.
These materials will allow my students to engage in creative projects and activities. As the beginning of the school year approaches, I want to ensure that my students have all the materials they need to be successful this school year!
