My students are the youngest learners in our public schools. They walk in my door for their first experience in the public school system. With a fun and energizing spirit, we strive to laugh and learn each day. We explore through books, writing, and lots of playing.
They come from a wide range of backgrounds that allows us to share and learn culturally from each other.
Our school is very active in encouraging students to explore the world around them, from involvement in after-school sports to community service. Our campus strives to create community and foster student growth outside the classroom. Students are given opportunities to participate in activities such as Battle of the Books, Science Fair, Oral Language, Student Council, Track Meet, Bank of America Speech Contest, and Student Valet.
My Project
I am excited to get more coding robots into the hands of my young learners. The Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Sets are perfect for my students to learn how coding works and can be used in small groups to also practice working together cooperatively.
Christine Cunningham said, "Kids should engineer before they can spell it." These STEM activity sets will help my students learn how to engineer and code with a hands-on learning tool that also keeps their attention.
Being young and inquisitive about the world comes naturally to my students and it's my job to keep that spark of exploring continuous and productive. I look forward to using these robots to keep that desire of learning going strong.
