I am a fourth-year teacher. I teach at a low-income, high poverty school district. They face many challenges to their learning each day. Regardless, they are very creative and love to learn.
My students are incredibly enthusiastic learners, always excited to use new materials I bring to the classroom.
As a teacher in a low-income district, I am struggling to find materials for my students.
My students appreciate when I bring in something new for them to use. Their eyes light up and they excitedly ask questions when I sort through new supplies or bring out new materials.
My Project
My students would like a Code & Go Robot Mouse classroom kit. We are beginning coders in our second grade classroom. All of my students have been introduced to coding through different activities in our classroom. This kit allows for another coding option in our classroom and plastic bins to store them safely.
The Code & Go Robot Mouse set introduces kids to sequential coding skills without the need for screens or apps.
Robot mouse will help my students grasp what it means to code. Coding together allows my students to communicate and work together to problem solve.
I want to teach my students programming and engineering with Robot Mouse. Every Friday, my students have an opportunity to practice coding.
