This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are willing to learn, and they enjoy writing(drawing). If you invite them to make their own book, they would be exciting, happy, and jumping to start this project. This project will make my students writers. The best way to accomplish this project in pre-kinder is by helping them to create art (drawings) that reflects what they want to write, letters will follow later.

My students will use all this art materials to begin writing books by using their creative imagination.

The possibilities are endless, students will use what they know about writing to help them make books. Students will experience new ideas, information, strategies, and tips to unfold a story to write.

Funds for this project will change my students' lives in concrete ways and it will help them to become writers,

First, many of my students cannot afford materials. The possibility of the families to bring in their supplies is out of the question. The pride they feel in their finished product is satisfaction from learning these skills.
