My students are very unique. They bring incredible stories, wisdom, and experience to the classroom and create an enriching learning environment for all. I am fortunate enough to not only teach 25 of the most inspiring students but also spend quality time with all of the students at our school!
The stories of our students are as riveting as some of the best literature we read in our English classes!
My school prides itself on being "all about the kids", and truly we are. Our focus is on honoring our students' experiences, their family's history and fusing that together with learning experiences that deepen their understanding of the world.
My Project
These materials will enhance student learning by keeping them engaged in the lessons. I want to create a nice environment for our classroom library with a rug and book shelf.
Children aren't meant to sit on a chair all day.
Having the option to sit on the rug to read will be exciting to them. The bookshelf will have rotating options of new books I can put on display to catch their interest.
The dots and whiteboards will help with quick check for understandings during or after lessons. These items will keep our students excited about learning.The dots will be placed on small group tables and the whiteboards will be given to the students individually to utilize.
