My Students

I have a very rambunctious group of 6-7 yr. old learners. They are always very willing to think "outside the box" and make connections to their own world. They are very good at creating and STEM based projects.

They have been working on small-group projects and easing into student customization.

They really enjoy a little independence and 1-1 conferencing with me. For some, that small increment of undivided attention is the most sincere type of adult interaction in their day.

My Project

Our school is beginning to embark on the "mass customized learning" age. We will be working in various parts of the classroom even more than we do currently. Our library rug that we have now has had 15 years poured into it relentlessly and is very frayed around the edges. We need a new one because our library area is used daily for our morning meeting time as well as an independent reading space.

As I stated earlier, our school is beginning a new endeavor of mass customized learning.

We will have learners from other classrooms and I will need new storage facilities for their materials that are to stay housed in my room. We are very excited to start this new phase of learning.
