This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
BEES Baseball team is in need of equipment for our newer teammates who want to see what being part of the baseball team is all about. Last year, when schools were fully up and running, we created a baseball team with much success. This year, we are looking forward to another amazing season but we need more equipment to help our team grow.
Our Student-Athletes are in need of updated equipment to practice skills essential to exceed in the game. We are in need of fielding gloves and baseballs to practice drills and skills such as fielding, throwing and pitching. We are also in need of batting gloves and bases to practice our batting skills. These few items will help our student-athletes build upon their skills daily during our team practices.
We are fortunate enough to hold practices in the school gym before school and at a local park after school that included infield, outfield, pitching, catching and batting practice. Students are eager to get on the field daily and improve their skills to help build confidence and a sense of unity.
