I teach in an elementary school in a coastal community in southeastern North Carolina. My students come from a variety of different backgrounds. I serve a high number of low-income and military families. Our school is beautifully diverse! We are experiencing a year like no other.
Our school was recently closed for 29 school days after Hurricane Florence ravaged our area.
My students are curious, kind and excited to get back to learning. My class is full of positivity--we refuse to let our circumstances define us.
My class is striving to be 21st century learners. We currently have a 1:1 chromebook to student ratio--but we do not have a safe place to house them. We need a chromebook cart.
Our chomebooks allows us to explore the world, create friendships and construct global awareness --all through digital experiences!
Technology has open our classroom door to the world, and a chromebook cart is an integral part of insuring this exposure will continue to happen.
With technology at our fingertips, it is important to take care of and maintain our devices. A chromebook cart will improve the longevity of our technology and ensure we can continue to grow and learn for years to come.
