My students need Bee-Bots to integrate technology in the classroom so they can work on letters, shapes, sight words, colors, addition and subtraction.

I teach in a Title I priority school. The grade level I cater to are just starting their school experience. It is imperative to get them engaged in learning.
I teach 5 year old students that have a variety of levels, interests and abilities.
The average amount of students I educate in a class is 17. My school's population are all on free lunch. The students I serve are very curious about different types of technology.
My kindergarten students love using technology, especially when I integrate it into instruction. They will try anything technology related and it's fantastic to see their reactions to new types of technology. They learn more and benefit from using technology.
All of my students are interested in technology and using it daily. However, as a teacher my job is to make sure that the technology is not only fun, but caters to the instructional needs of my students. One sure way that I can do this is to integrate Bee-Bots into my daily instruction. My school is a STEM Academy, so technology is considered an important asset for daily learning. The Bee-Bots use coding to move and work. I plan to use the Bee-Bots for not only teaching my students coding, but for teaching them math. I plan to use the Bee-Bots for math by using a mat that has different colored, and sized shapes for my students. My kindergarten students can practice identifying colors, shapes and different sizes. I plan to use the Bee-Bots for reading enrichment by having them practice recognizing their letters, three letter words, and sight words. My hope is that the Bee-Bots will become an independent station where students can practice the skills I have taught them during whole class instruction. It is important that I receive these Bee-Bots so I can have multiple students working at one time. My students already show a high interest in technology and this will enhance their school day experience.
