This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are hardworking individuals who are curious about the world and excited about the future. They are language learners from diverse backgrounds. My students want to learn about the world and other people's point of view.
I teach a group of English language learners who are striving to develop skills that will help them reach their life goals.
To do this, they need opportunities to practice English in exciting ways that allow them to discover new ideas and multiple perspectives.
My Project
This project will enhance our unit on the importance of honey bees. This unit will help students identify why bees are so incredible and analyze why they are vital to humanity.
These materials will help students understand science concepts in their English Language Arts class.
These materials will be used in a unit that asks the students, "Why are bees so incredible?" Students will read books, and use the models of the bee's life cycle to answer this question. They will learn about bees from the books and then use the models to present about bees' life cycles. These materials will be used as learning tools to help them prepare for an essay about bees. These visual aids and multiple texts will help students throughout our bee unit.
