I teach in a full day, public school preschool classroom with 19 children that are between the ages of 4 and 5 years old and a teacher assistant. My classroom is an inclusion room with peers, children with IEP's, and English Language Learners. The children in my classroom are all very unique and special in their own ways, and they are all able to learn and thrive off of one another.
My goal is to make every student feel like a true scientist while exploring our five basic senses in the science center.
Every year I strive to create a more powerful and beneficial learning environment for all. These tools will help me in creating a more powerful, engaging, and unique science center for the children in my classroom to enjoy!
These materials will help in the creation of a beneficial and more realistic science center within my preschool classroom! I will incorporate them into my science center, where children are able to go to explore real life materials and sensory materials to learn about different characteristics, and features; while using a variety of science tools to explore. Children will be able to view our insect, nature, and shell collection, under the microscope, and will be able to weigh them to see which weighs more, etc.
With your help, my students will be provided a more engaging and hands-on science center where they can explore and engage in real life scientist work, to help them feel as if they are a real scientist.
