My Students

I love the diversity of our school. I get to teach kids that are from so many different backgrounds and varying financial situations that it is essential to get to know them in order to reach them. I've taught at several schools, and I know that I have found a home.

At our school, there is a very strong sense of community pride that is centered around hard work and respect, and it is visible in our faculty and our students.

There are so many students that really want to do well and do the right thing. I particularly love working with incoming Freshmen so I have the opportunity to try and make them aware of all the possibilities for success that are now becoming relevant to them.

My Project

My students deserve to have the best teacher possible, and completing this difficult task will demonstrate the importance of being a lifelong learner. With this project, I am hoping to become a National Board Certified Teacher in Mathematics. I am in need of assistance for two of the four components that are required for the National Board program. I am striving to be the best teacher that I can be, and National Board Certification will give me multiple opportunities to evaluate, reflect, and continue learning in order to accomplish this goal. I hope to work really hard and pass these first two components this school year, and then finish the other two in the 2022-2023 school year.

I see this as an opportunity where I can further my own education, while offering the best education I can give to my students.

My current students as well as future students will all benefit from the experiences I will get by going through this process. I'm honestly looking forward to the challenge and I hope I can do a good job and make my students and my school proud.
