Our kindergarten center is home to nearly 300 five-year-olds! It is a busy and fun place to be! However, many of these students are low income and do not have as many life experiences, or access to as many learning materials, as students from a higher income level. These children can greatly benefit from having more materials for their personal use within our classroom
My young students are eager to learn and just need more materials to help them achieve that goal.
My Project
Nothing compares to watching my students' faces light up as they realize that they have found a book they can read! Allowing the students to also have multiple books on their level to choose from gives the students more ownership of their reading.
Through your donation, you will be providing my students with the opportunity to have these special moments in reading.
When the students begin to read books they love, at their own reading level, they develop a love of reading that will greatly serve them not only throughout their school career but throughout their lifetime as well. Thank you for giving them this wonderful gift!
