Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher of a low income/high poverty school district my students are faced with several challenges in and out of the classroom. Despite these challenges my students teach me something new every day. They are the youngest in the building but are the most excited about being in school and learning.
These young scholars are energetic, curious, intelligent and very loving.
It is a privilege to work with today's youth and provide them with enrichment opportunities.
My students are mini inspirations to themselves and each other, even if they don't know it yet. They are the future president, teacher, musicians etc... because they are the FUTURE!
My Project
My students love to build and create things. The LEGO table and LEGO bricks will help them with their thinking skills and social skills in sharing and taking turns and building together.
Being able to create, think and cooperate are essential to being successful citizens as they grow and continue their education.
They may be young but their young minds are amazing in how they think and build and create in their learning and home activities.
The students love to build towers, castles and as we learn about other habitats they create those as well. It is a wonderful thing to see them so excited to create what is in their minds.
