This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With this project, I will be closer to becoming a National Board Certified Teacher. National Board Certification is the most respected professional certification available to me. National Board Certification is a rigorous process by which teachers become more effective in the classroom. National Board Certification will allow me to improve my teaching and demonstrate my dedication to my students.

I want to be the best teacher that I can be, and that requires always pushing forward and learning myself.

I will be working continuously to complete the four required components I applied to become National Board certified in ART- Early Adolescence through Young Adulthood.

I currently teach art to 9th -12th grades, and I am hoping to learn how to be the very best teacher I can be for every one of my students. They deserve the best! I began working on my National Boards last year. I passed Component 3, but I have 2 more Components I must pass this school year in order to obtain the certification.

National Board certification will allow me to showcase to my students the true meaning of a lifetime learner. By being the best I know I can be, I can further my education while offering the best education I can give to my students.
