My class is made up of an extraordinary group of students, a group of students that are the hardest subgroup to show academic growth.
Academic and Intellectually Gifted students deserve to have meaningful educational opportunities and grow in their learning.
As an Academic and Intellectually Gifted specialist, I help facilitate the learning of 35 gifted students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. We focus on the areas of reading, math, and nonverbal skills. These students love learning and need the tools necessary to enrich their studies.
My Project
My students love to find solutions to everyday problems. Using the STEAM problem-solving process, students will use 3D pens to solve everyday problems. This hands-on tool gives gifted students real experience in how to use today's technology to find solutions to a variety of problems. Many of my students are from military families and know first hand about being located in areas where certain things are unavailable, now they can learn to create the things they need, just like people "in the field"depending on their jobs. These meaningful tools will put STEAM leaning and problem solving at their fingertips!
