Mr. Perniciaro from Kiln MS is requesting Books through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

My Students

In my classroom we try to teach them to be effective in everything they do. The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People will help provide them with an insight of what it takes to be a productive teen. In the long run, it will prepare them a college career they can make them more productive.

My students are usually rural kids who have single parent families.

They have a never die attitude and are usually up for any task. Most of my students are survivors of Hurricane Katrina so they know what it is like to be without things. These books will provide a resource we really need.

My Project

These books should help my students be not only better students but better citizens and parents. The books will be used as part of a class teamwork building exercise. They will learn how to work as as team to develop a new food product and some type of new technology they would like to use.

The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People will explain how important developing good habits over your teen years will make you a more productive citizen and parent.

As a teacher I think it is one of my duties to produce someone who can be a productive part of society. They should be able to think for themselves.
