This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have an awesome group of 22 third graders this school year!! They are creative, smart, funny, kind, imaginative, caring, outgoing, fun, and much more!! My students set goals for themselves and work hard to achieve them! Some of their future career goals are to become a preacher, teacher, dolphin trainer, baseball player, glass blower, soldier, hair stylist, race car driver, and wrestler! I’m so proud of them and have loved seeing their growth and achievement throughout this school year!!

My Project

My students LOVE to read!! Anytime we have extra time and they get more reading time they are so happy!

As we are nearing the end of the school year, I wanted to do a book study on one of my favorite books, Because of Winn Dixie!

One thing that will benefit this book study is having a copy of the book for each student! This will enable us to read it together as a class, independently, in partner groups, and even table groups! I can't wait to start this book study with my students and continue growing their love for reading!!
