Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every day I am surrounded by 50 amazing students. My school is a dual-language elementary school and our mission is to educate and empower each student to realize their full potential and positively influence their communities. We focus on project-based learning, which means that the students are in control of their learning, and are constantly self-evaluating themselves and their goals. I get to work with these students on a daily basis and observe their strengths and weaknesses.
I want to have the resources needed to help guide them on the right path and make them feel like they can do anything at school or from home.
My Project
I want my students to be able to enjoy their time in Kindergarten and reduce the amount of stress or discomfort they may have during this pandemic.
These materials will definitely benefit my students, they will be more engaged during learning, I will be able to explain them the meaning of Spanish words by showing them real objects form the Spanish Alphabet Teaching Tubes providing an object-word connection and increasing their vocabulary in a second language.
I will be able to use all the writing materials such as the magnetic sentence strips and magnetic board to get them engage in hand writing.
All the math materials my students will be able to use them when we get back to school, math is a very important subject and it will be better learn with hands on materials such as the colorful dominoes, the ten frames, and the math bags.
Teaching from home has not been easy, I just want to provide my students with a wonderful and unforgettable kindergarten time even if I am teaching from home, help me provide a wonderful experience.
