My Project

My students this year are still struggling with finding books that speak to them. They find classic novels a little daunting and are more comfortable with "smaller" books. They have gone through most of the collection I already have with books in verse and are in need of more.

Books in verse allow my students to find engaging stories that they can relate to and learn from without being too intimidated by the size of the book.

I require students to read 20 minutes every night to improve their fluency, comprehension, and literacy. These titles will give students more opportunities to fall in love with reading.
