Beautiful Windows

The cost of art supplies for a stained glass art project is $358, including shipping and <a target="new" href="" onclick="g_openWindow('', 300, 800, 'fulfillwindow');return false;">fulfillment</a>.

Hooray! This project is fully funded

I am the art teacher at a public PreK-5 elementary school in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn, which is located across the street from the housing projects where most of the students live. The immediate neighborhood surrounding the school is bleak and gray, but our school comes alive through the students' art work. There are three large windows that hang over the main staircase, which would be the perfect setting for a stained-glass project. There are 54 panes of glass in total, which would give each Third Grade child an opportunity to create an acetate "stained glass" panel. I can just imagine the pride these young artists will feel seeing their work displayed so prominently! I can see the colorful patterns the light will make, streaming through the stained glass windows. The knowledge that they have made their school a more beautiful place will surely give these students a sense of accomplishment and pride. If you can help us purchase the supplies we need to complete this project, you will have played a part in helping our students create magic in their lives through art. Thank you.
