Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students come from diverse backgrounds and are encouraged to learn from each other. Our students come to school to learn both academic and social behaviors. To do so, many of our scholars on the autism spectrum face daily challenges of understanding social cues and building and maintaining relationships with their peers.

Our students are the most diverse students in our district, teaching their peers love, empathy, understanding, and the joys of neurodiversity.

Students on the spectrum struggle to play and work with peers. By utilizing high-interest, project-based curriculum, students can achieve high academic expectations and work on their interpersonal skills. Our classroom will become a valuable environment that best meets the needs for these gifted students.

My Project

Students benefit from having access to basic classroom supplies to help them to accomplish challenging academic tasks. The materials from this project will help students achieve their academic best by giving them opportunities to approach learning in many ways. The pencils will help us write. The pencil sharpener is very much needed and will free up some time students have been using by utilizing hand held sharpeners. The chart paper will help because we will be able to post anchor charts on the wall. Students will also be able to write and draw on them for group projects.

Students will utilize these materials to achieve academic and social success, by having the basic materials needed for a successful classroom!

Each student will have the basic supplies needed and your support will help provide the best materials for their learning.
