Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Lower-income Hispanics make up 85% of our school. Many live in multi-family homes where extended families share a house. We are in the highest bracket for free and reduced-price lunch. Our school district gave free lunch to every student through October to help reduce expenses as we rebuild. Every single athlete was impacted by Hurricane Harvey but continued to strive to better their progress in our baseball program.
Our athletes are resilient as well as enthusiastic to start this new season.
They keep a positive attitude no matter what comes their way.
My Project
Throughout the year and baseball season, our team goes through a strenuous strength training and conditioning regimen. Whether it be the summer and fall workouts, or the seasonal baseball-specific workouts in the season that takes a toll on every one of our athletes.
The Theragun G3 Massager allows us as coaches to not only manage the recovery of the athletes but provides the safety in preserving and growing their muscles in the sport itself for years to come.
Having this tool at baseball games or practices after a rigorous inning of pitching or base running will ensure that the athletes are recovering at the best rate possible to prevent future injury.
