I teach an exciting group of fifth graders who are always eager to learn new things. Most of these students live in a rural part of Montana and come from a variety of different backgrounds. With each kid having their own story I want to make my classroom a place where kids can come in and feel safe, loved, and aren’t afraid to try new things. They are constantly asking questions and are always wanting to dive further into their learning.
My Project
Every student learns and engages with their environment in different ways to be successful. As we enter a time where flexible seating has been proven to be beneficial, I’d love to provide my students with the variety of seating options that will work best for them all. I am hoping to create a classroom environment that provides the opportunity for success to all of the students who enter my room. By adding flexible seating options I see nothing but success occurring in my classroom. Beanbags will provide my students with a great option for reading books, working on projects, or just finding a spot to feel comfortable.
