My Students

I am blessed to teach first grade on a Native American Indian Reservation. My students are intelligent, motivated, cheerful, kind, and eager to learn. My students are extremely hard working and deserve nothing but the best. Our K-12 school district is categorized as very high poverty, and 100% of the student population is on free or reduced price lunch. I want to make the days my students spend at school extremely special and memorable, but I need a little bit of help!

My Project

I am humbly asking generous donors to gift my amazing students with bean bags so they can get comfy when it is time for silent reading.

As a first grade teacher, it is my responsibility to teach my students to read, but more importantly I strive to instill a lifelong love for literacy.

These beanbags will give my students some choices when it is time to read. These incredible bean bags are certain to make my students more comfortable while reading and learning. Furthermore, the bean bags will help me create a positive learning environment where students feel welcome, empowered, have choices and associate reading with enjoyment! They would be an amazing donation to my classroom that will be used and appreciated for many years to come.
