My students need our 5 classroom bean bags refilled. Every day my students sit in our Big Joe Bean Bag Chairs that we had donated to us last year from DonorsChoose.org.

My Students

In my classroom students are constantly given options and choice in what they do. We are a loving classroom community that cares about each other genuinely. My second-grade students know that the environment they are working in is safe and that it is alright to make mistakes and ask questions.

When my students walk in the door they are happy, energetic and full of positive energy.

My classroom is filled with laughter, trust, sensitivity and positive reinforcement. My school is a large school that is around 50% free or reduced-price lunch. We have mostly students with Caucasian, Native American and Hispanic backgrounds.

My Project

In my second grade classroom, we currently have 5 Big Joe Bean Bag chairs that are in desperate need of more filling. The chairs are basically flat to the ground; however, my students use them daily. Students take turns throughout the week to sit in the chairs for quiet work times, reading and math centers and hallway work. They are in great overall shape and I clean them regulatory. Instead of buying new bean bags it would be nice to just refill them.

The Big Joe Bean Bag Chair Filling is specifically designed for the chairs I already have in my classroom.

I have done a lot of research about the quality of this specific filling and it should last much longer than the traditional filling that is in the bags now.
