Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are the best. They love to explore and create. Their unique gifts show how truly special they are. They are learning to be a part of the school community. I know that when they learn to read, the world will open up to them. From Autism to Down Syndrome, my students love to have fun they are amazing and wonderful. Anyone who has the pleasure to spend time with them will tell you.
My Project
My students need sensory experiences to help them learn to self regulate. Some of them struggle to be in the general education setting because of their behavior. A light table will bring sensory experience and engagement to some students who find it difficult to engage in typical activities. My students will love to build and create and explore with a light table. They will be learning and they won't even know it because they will be having so much fun. A light table with plenty of materials to explore would make a huge difference for them.
