Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are wonderful, wide-eyed learners, but unfortunately we are in a poor neighborhood where students don't always get the opportunities that they deserve. They are eager to learn, but often come to school without proper supplies.
Students need basic supplies in order to do work, be creative, and just to communicate.
My students are well-behaved third graders who always want to do their best.
Learning is important to my students so they can succeed in the world. I know that someday they will be productive citizens.
My Project
My students come from low income families therefore parents cannot always buy school supplies. A sharpen pencil is a basic necessity in school. I need a sturdy electric pencil sharpener, available pencils for the students, and an container where they can get their pencil.
A pencil is basic but so many children don't come to school with one therefore the teacher must always have a sharpen supply on hand.
Students need pencils to write, do math problems, draw, label, take notes, etc,,,,,These pencils need to be sharpen and easily available for students to use without any classroom disruption. Containers will be placed in four areas of the room where students can easily get a pencil.
