Students in my Math Resource classes are in need of remedial help in all areas of basic math. They require extra processing time to formulate answers to problems. Most of my students have limited educational resources at home and at school. They require math manipulatives and other related materials to help them become more engaged in their day-to-day math activities.
Having engaging math resources will give my students confidence to work more independently in math!
Math manipulatives encourage students to place more emphasis on effort and help develop their potential. These resources will enhance students' practical math skills to help them become better prepared for everyday life! We need Hot Dots Flash Cards, leveled texts for math, sets of timed math drills and other materials.
My Project
My students need a variety of math tools and resources to help create math centers within my classroom to provide remedial support. Students will use these math games on a daily basis and have time to collaborate with others while enhancing their math skills. Having these centers in place allows students to work on a variety of math standards. Students will become more confident as they advance to higher levels.
Math centers allow students to work independently on specific areas to strengthen a skill.
There will be less stress and anxiety when working in this type of environment, and students will have more fun as they learn. Every student benefits when they have creative supports in place!
