Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We love South OKC. For sports, we help our high school kids and younger ones. Through a partnering with PALS (a police academy league for younger kids to play sports), they get to help them in volleyball and other sports.

For classes, we are very low on our math levels.

Less than 10% of our tested students scored average or above on math. We have a majority of free lunch, and our population is above 80% Hispanic. Please help us.

My Project

Our volleyball ladies got the privilege of winning the Queen of the Court tournament in Fall 2017. We are in the same league with 6A schools but only are prepared for local competition. We are training for the big picture. We want to help these young ladies to succeed in self discipline and setting goals.

With our lack of height, we can use vertical improvements.

We will start with their jumping skills and leg strength, using these ankle weights. As an athlete who has had 2 knee surgeries, we’ll be working on preventing injuries too. Please help us get to our goal and donate to our Freshmen, JV, and Varsity volleyball girls. Thank you.
