My Students

Our school serves a diverse community of K-5 students in Beaverton, OR. As a Title 1 school, nearly 65% of our students are economically disadvantaged, and 15% experience homelessness at some point during the school year. However, despite challenging circumstances, all of our students make incredible growth each year!

As a STEM school, our students enjoy a heavy emphasis on utilizing and studying science, technology, engineering, and math.

My students are especially enthusiastic about STEM subjects, and love to develop and pursue their intellectual curiosity, which is one of my favorite qualities my students possess. When they learn about something new, they "follow their brains" to learn even more until they become experts!

My Project

My students use technology throughout each day to read and play educational games that adapt to their learning needs. They also work collaboratively, do research, and create projects to show their learning. With multiple students on devices at once, the noise can be very distracting.

These headphones will help each student to focus on their work, whether using technology or working on something else in the same area.

The headphones purchased by our school are inexpensive and low quality. They break constantly and we do not have funds for replacements. This set, which is high quality, durable, and kid-sized is sure to last! Finally, they have coiled cords which will make storage so much easier for my 7- and 8-year old students!
