Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

They come from a variety of backgrounds, but they are very eager to learn. They especially enjoy learning everyday skills with different learning materials or resources. Many of the students come with no prior school experience, little knowledge of letters/numbers, or limited experiences outside of home or church settings.

Offering exciting resources beyond what I currently provide will bring them joy!

This opportunity will provide alternative ways for the children to reinforce mastered skills and forge new ones. Thank you!

My Project

We are learning about our emotions and building our personal toolbox full of coping skills! One of the first steps in that is to be able to explain what is wrong, why we are distressed, or whatever we are feeling.

Just like First Lady Melania Trump encourages us to BE BEST, we want to improve our communication skills!

The "Emotionoes" dominoes, and the Emotions Stamp set will assist us in learning to describe exactly what we are feeling, and ways to deal with it. Working with the literacy mats and paint help with stress levels and feeling good about ourselves! We hope you will give us this opportunity!
