My students need resources such as telling time flip charts, flash cards, and play money. We also need organizational materials such as bookends and pocket charts!
Can you imagine a world without being able to tell time or count money?
My students have exceptional needs!
They attend a K-8 school in a district of Oakland, CA. They need additional practice in basic skills so that they can be successful in life. Materials that we receive for this project will go towards our school's Learning Center - a resource for students who need additional support in the areas of math, reading, and life skills.
My Project
With the resources granted from this project, students will have hands on materials for learning how to count money and tell time - essential life skills. Students that frequent the Learning Center need additional practice, time, support, and hands-on materials in order to be able to learn effectively.
Students at my school are in great need of being served effectively.
These materials will ensure that they have what they need to be able to learn skills that they need in the real world - you can't learn how to tell time or count money from a piece of paper! My students need hands on materials!
