This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I love to see my students achieve greatness. It's rewarding to see them desire to learn more and be accepting of different cultures through literature and through their peers. It is even more rewarding to see students invent new things and exercise their critical thinking skills through mathematics.
My students are growing and learning in the same small, tight knit, school community that inspired me to be a teacher.
They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet. They are budding ambassadors, world travelers, scientists, entrepreneurs, doctors, teachers etc. They are our future and I want to give them a fair and great start to their long successful career.
My Project
As my students are becoming older, it is important that they are aware of their bodies. We have been teaching the importance of personal hygiene and how it can affect one's learning. We have also been informing students of how their body changes during puberty. My students need hygiene products to stay fresh throughout the day so they can focus on their learning and not be self-conscious about their bodies. They need deodorants, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, and toothpaste etc. These materials will boost the confidence of my students and allow them to focus solely on their learning. Instead of worrying about their hygiene and health.
