Non-fiction resources in our library are invaluable to our students, both in middle school and high school. These resources bring the world around them inside the classroom and into their hands.
Building awareness is the first step to building compassion.
This project will bring a wide variety of books about animals into our library. I want our students to be stewards of animals wherever there go. Giving them resources to educate and inform is a crucial step in molding the animal lovers and protectors of tomorrow.
It's easy to say you are an animal lover. But being an educated one is entirely differently. I want our students to learn about the animals around them so they can be compassionate animal stewards and protectors now and as they go into adult life.
Knowledge is power and we are all called to protect those needing protection.
I want my students to have vast knowledge at their fingertips so they can become educated and passionate about all kinds of animals. These new books will provide them with current and complete information about a variety of animals.
Additionally, I've worked hard to select books that will appeal to both middle school and high school students so that our library is better equipped to answer questions for all of our students.
