My Students

I am a Spanish I, high school teacher in an inner-city school with students who come from all over the city. I teach at a CTE school so my students earn both a high school diploma and certifications in their field of study. Our school is a hidden gem as we are located in an industrial area in the upper northeast. My students love coming to school and their dedication to their studies is visible throughout our school.

My Project

This project is to help me give my students cooling fans in order to keep us cool while we learn. Wearing masks all day, and having the Baking Department directly below us, makes it very uncomfortable and hot in the classroom.

Having these fans around our classroom will provide us some much-needed cool air in order to make our learning environment much more pleasant.

Students learn best when they are comfortable while learning and being in a hot classroom while wearing masks is not conducive to learning. These fans will also be used during the hot spring and summer days when our A/C doesn't keep us cool either.
