Accelerated Reader is a program that motivates students to read. At our school, students take a test to find their independent reading level at the beginning of school. Then, they select books to read in their level. After reading the books, the students take a comprehension test on the computer. Students earn points and get rewarded for each new point club they achieve. In my classroom, I have a bulletin board that reads, "Be an A.R. Star". I would like to get help in purchasing rewards to give out to my students for their reading accomplishments along the way. I want them to be motivated to read and to get reminded daily in the classroom. Reading is the KEY !
