I teach Physical Education at a Title I school in Brooklyn, New York where 100% of the students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Our students are diverse in backgrounds, families, and learning abilities. My physical education program is relatively new and I'm interested in implementing activities that can reach students from many different angles including skill and team building, and mindfulness.
I need the right supplies and equipment to start more team activities and differentiated instruction for our Special Needs students.
My Project
As my new physical education program continues to develop I want to implement equipment that can reach more children. Many of our students are inactive at home and getting them to move in my classes can be challenging. With colorful games and equipment, I will be able to get them moving slowly at first and more active by the end of the year.
I'm requesting a variety of fun active equipment for more moving in all my physical education classes including tunnels, dance scarves, beanbag toys, and hoops.
This equipment will be used in cooperative games including relay races and fun stations. The dance scarves are for improving students hand/eye coordination and we'll dance with the hoops for cardiovascular time. I need the electric pump to keep our basketballs and soccer balls ready for action.
Thank you for your support and help. I guarantee you that your equipment will be used every day to support the health and well-being of my students.
