My Students

I teach in a large district with high expectations for our students. The community is very supportive and involved in our schools. My class is unique in that the students are from all over our district and have the highest needs of students of their age and grade level.

The sky is the limit in my class!

My students have life skills goals as well as academic goals. Each student has individual goals that when achieved, will help them to be successful not only in the school setting but in their lives. In order to help them reach this level of success our class needs a diverse set of tools and equipment.

My Project

My students have sensory and motor needs. Often times the students are unable to sit still and focus on the task they are assigned to complete. Students who need quiet time away from others will have a place to go have a break in the quiet cube. This will allow them to refocus and reset for more learning. The wiggle chairs help students maintain focus while working on the tasks given to them that are related to their goals.

By donating to this project you will be helping remove unnecessary difficulties for these students and help them get through their school day.

Allowing them to wiggle and move or sit in their own space away from others I believe will contribute to their individual success.

It is amazing what they can achieve when they have correct tools in place!
