I'm always looking for the latest technology and STEM activities to keep my gifted students motivated.
I teach the Discovery/GT program along with an accelerated math class to identified kids in Kinder - 5th grade
I believe learning should be fun and social. Kids learn by doing and I want them pushed just to the edge of their comfort zone daily. These gifted students have mastery with usually one experience so to keep them on their toes, I have to be.
Be a Sphero hero by helping to provide Sphero coding minis for my students. Coding and 21st century skills are vital tools for the leaders of tomorrow. This not only provides that foundation but incorporates the robotics and technology with collaborative STEAM activities that will nurture my students' imagination in ways you can't begin to imagine.
We recently took a field trip to the Apple Store where we were introduced to these remarkable tools.
They were very motivated to get back to school and get to work. The problem? We don't have any Sphero balls to work with. We are super excited to utilize the free EDU curriculum to take our coding knowledge to the next level....as soon as we have the Sphero balls to work with.
